about the market
Market at the Mill is a biannual event held in the spring and fall that features vendors from across the south selling quality items from individuals and companies chosen by the market committee. Some of the items you can find at either show are antiques, pottery, woodworking, crafts, artwork, food, clothing, and much more. Food vendors and beverages are available for purchase onsite, while local restaurants in downtown New Roads are also open for business.
There is a $5 fee to enter the show or $10 for Friday-Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online at Bontemps Tix or at the door.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please view the application under the 'Sell With Us' in the menu.
KIDS AT THE MILL
Bring your little ones along with you to Market at the Mill and let them make your Mother's Day gift while you shop! Shannon Farho, an artist from Baton Rouge, will host 4 sessions throughout the weekend for children ages 5 and up for $5 per session. The sessions will take place on the Friday and Saturday of Mill weekend at noon and 2:00. High school volunteers will be assisting Shannon so that you may shop while they craft! Participants can expect to walk away with a piece of artwork that they may save as a Mother's Day gift (pssssst....dad, you may want to make note of this ;). Children younger than 5 are welcome to join, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Shannon is a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and member of the Clinical Faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at LSU in Baton Rouge.
